We adopt cobalt-based welding wires independently developed by Milestone Metal, matched with a fully automatic robotic closed-loop welding system.
We have overcome technical challenges in hardfacing long shafts with unequal-pitch spiral screws. The robot precisely synchronizes the workpiece rotation speed and real-time adjusts wire feeding and travel parameters accordingly.

The cobalt-based weld overlay boasts excellent fusion performance. It resists softening under high-temperature conditions, and delivers outstanding impact and corrosion resistance. It is perfectly suitable for pre-protection hardfacing of new heavy-load wear-resistant components as well as repair hardfacing, including spiral screws, hydraulic plungers, large rollers, metallurgical rolls, and main shafts for petroleum equipment.

The weld beads on spiral screws feature smooth and even transitions, free of defects such as slag inclusions, porosity and incomplete fusion. The robotic welding process offers great adaptability with minimal spatter and attractive weld formation, significantly cutting subsequent grinding and machining costs. It enables stable mass production and delivery of hardfaced shaft parts, reducing costs and boosting efficiency for the processing of heavy-industry wear-resistant components.
