Cobalt-containing tungsten carbide flux-cored wire uses cobalt as the binder phase and tungsten carbide hard particles as the wear-resistant reinforcement. The overlay delivers outstanding hot hardness, excellent resistance to abrasive wear, erosion and sulfide corrosion, together with superior thermal fatigue resistance. Hard carbide particles are firmly bonded and not easy to spall off. It is widely used for wear and corrosion combined working conditions, including oil & gas wellhead valves, downhole tools, FPSO offshore components, vertical mill rollers & tables for cement industry, shield machine cutters, slurry pump wetted parts for mining, coal mill components for power plants and ash handling parts in coal chemical industry. It serves for both new part hardfacing protection and repair of worn-out components.
