Technical Breakthrough: Empowered by Self-Developed Processes for Precision Repair

Faced with the large-scale and high-demand overlay welding requirements of coke drums, our company relies on self-developed welding consumables and a dedicated overlay welding technology system to formulate refined construction solutions and overcome multiple technical challenges.

In the repair overlay welding of longitudinal and circumferential welds, aiming at existing defects such as corrosion and cracks, we adopt a process combining precision non-destructive testing positioning and layer-by-layer repair overlay welding. We strictly control welding heat input and interpass temperature, together with special welding materials adapted to high-temperature corrosive service conditions. This ensures the repaired welds are dense, porosity-free and crack-free, with the dilution rate accurately controlled within the standard range. The structural strength and corrosion resistance of the welds are fully restored, achieving radical repair of defects in the used coke drum.
